Interoperability

To date, by definition, there is no true interoperability in place for the agencies in Brown County – this is one of the goals of the SIREN project.

The Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) definition for interoperability is:

“The ability of Public Safety Management to speak to any other public safety entities when required and authorized regardless of frequency.”
